
Urban Scandinavian Table Runner – the black, white and red version
This is my second Urban Scandinavian table runner. You can read more about the first one here.
I finished this table runner a little while ago, but hadn’t gotten around to taking photos of it yet. My husband’s birthday was a good excuse to “borrow” the cake and snap a few pictures before we started the celebration ๐

This one is for a friend’s house. He’s moved in a little while ago, but I wasn’t sure what would fit best with his decor until we were invited for dinner over the Christmas break and I had a spark of an idea.


I used the securing stitches for the applique strips as part of my quilting again, and also added echo quilting on the background for some added interest.



Of course, someone had to keep an eye on the cake to make sure it wasn’t going anywhere… and yes, Coach is tall enough that he can comfortably rest his chin on the dining room table just standing next to it. A fact that has taught my kids about cleaning up after themselves much faster than me telling them could ever have ๐
